                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 127
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Sue Scheaffer, who is retiring after 30 years of
 outstanding service with the Office of the Comptroller of Public
 Accounts; and
 WHEREAS, Sue Scheaffer joined the comptroller's office in
 December of 1980 as an administrative technician in the Support
 Services Division; her duties soon expanded, and she became a
 full-time programmer and one of the agency's first division
 network administrators; she was a team member of the agency's
 Technology Task Force and led the workgroup responsible for
 developing the Software Management Handbook; and
 WHEREAS, She went on to hold a variety of positions with
 far-reaching responsibilities; in 1994, she began working for
 the Historically Underutilized Business Program and assisted in
 developing a sophisticated vendor tracking, certification, and
 evaluation process that would become a model for other state
 agencies; she continued her career as a PowerBuilder developer
 and section manager for software development teams, and in 2001,
 she became manager of the Process Improvement Engineering
 Section; and
 WHEREAS, Since April of 2007, she has served as team leader
 for the Information Technology Asset Management Team and has
 assisted with Texas Project Delivery Framework documentation and
 served as a subject matter expert on various procurements, such
 as Disaster Recovery Services, PeopleSoft, and Mainframe
 application services; and
 WHEREAS, Throughout her career, she has been noted for her
 versatility and her expertise in a variety of fields and for
 handling her many responsibilities with exceptional skill and
 dedication; and
 WHEREAS, An exemplary lady, Sue Scheaffer is also known for
 her good humor and her engaging personality; she is beloved and
 respected by her colleagues, and her presence in the Office of
 the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Sue Scheaffer on
 her exceptional career with the Office of the Comptroller of
 Public Accounts and on her many contributions to our state and
 extend to her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
