SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 137
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Carolyn Gonzales on the occasion of the 30th
anniversary of her service as a Senate page; and
WHEREAS, Carolyn was sponsored by Texas Senate member
Lloyd Doggett of Austin during the 67th session of the Texas
Legislature; she remained on staff during the summer following
the regular session; and
WHEREAS, She continued to serve the Senate during her high
school years by working as a messenger during the summer; her
experience as a page led to opportunities in student government
and several youth leadership workshops that further developed
her interests and skills; and
WHEREAS, Her interest in government and service played an
important role in building her current career as a state
employee, and it is proper that she be recognized for her many
contributions to the state; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Carolyn Gonzales
on her many accomplishments and extend to her best wishes for
continued success in all her future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
