SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 143 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Lillie Fay Gooding, who is retiring after more than 22 years of outstanding service with the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts; and WHEREAS, Lillie joined the comptroller's office in 1989 in revenue processing and became one of the division's highest producers; she went on to serve in several other important areas, including the enforcement division, the accounts maintenance division, and the revenue accounting division; and WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Lillie has been noted for her superior organizing skills and tax expertise; she was instrumental in preparing her section's procedures and spreadsheets and was active in training her fellow employees; and WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, Lillie has handled her many responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication; and WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, she is respected and admired by her colleagues, and her presence at the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Lillie Fay Gooding on her exceptional service to the people of Texas as a valued employee of the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to her best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
