SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 20 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to recognize Jamee Foote for his leadership and his outstanding service to his community; and WHEREAS, Jamee recently graduated with honors from North Dallas High School, where he took advanced placement classes and was in the top 15 percent of his class; a superior athlete, he lettered in three sports, football, basketball, and soccer; and WHEREAS, He plans to attend the University of Saint Francis in Joliet, Illinois, on a full scholarship and will major in biology and pre-veterinary medicine; he loves animals and plans to be a veterinarian; and WHEREAS, He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tarrance L. Foote and has three brothers; he is a friendly and cooperative young man who is well known for his willingness to help others; and WHEREAS, He was instrumental in organizing a group of young Christians who spend some of their weekend mornings cleaning up trash and also help provide homeless people with food; Jamee also created a poster that was used in a recent yearlong campaign to prevent bullying, and he mentors young men in his community; and WHEREAS, It is indeed appropriate that Jamee Foote be honored for his many contributions to his community, his spiritual leadership, and his graduation from high school; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Jamee Foote for his exemplary community service and extend to him congratulations on his high school graduation and best wishes for the future; and, be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
