SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 26
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Harvey B. Hohenberger, Jr., who is retiring as
in Mount Pleasant after a distinguished career of nearly four
decades in the field of education; and
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS, As executive director of the Region 8 Educational
Service Center, Mr. Hohenberger helped implement a
performance-based curriculum that is now being used widely
across the state; and
WHEREAS, He has been active in numerous professional
organizations, including the Northeast Texas Association for
Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Texas Association of
School Administrators, and the East Texas Teacher Education
Council; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary educator and administrator, he is
respected and admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the
Region 8 Educational Service Center will be greatly missed; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Harvey B.
Hohenberger, Jr., on his commitment to excellence in education
and extend to him best wishes for continued success in all his
endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
