SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 82
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Dr. Billy L. Bell for his many years of service in the
gospel ministry and to his community; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Billy Bell began preaching on July 23, 1979;
he organized the Judea Missionary Baptist Church in 1986 and
served as pastor for 11 years, during which time the church grew
from six members to 300 members; and
WHEREAS, He is currently the senior pastor at New Pilgrim
Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas, where he began serving
in 1997, and he is well known for his organizational and
administrative skills; and
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS, Dr. Billy L. Bell is a man of deep faith and
devotion whose ministerial leadership has had a positive
influence on the lives of many Christians; he is being honored at
the Frank Ray Conference in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 7, 2011,
for his 32 years of service and his many achievements; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Dr. Billy L. Bell
for his service to his church and his community and extend to him
best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
him as an expression of highest regard from the Texas Senate.
