                            SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 94
 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
 recognize Aurora Alexandra Villarreal, who has recently
 completed the requirements for earning a Girl Scout Gold Award;
 and
 WHEREAS, Few receive this distinguished award, the highest
 level of achievement in the Girl Scout program; and
 WHEREAS, Through the process of earning the Gold Award,
 girls develop a lifelong commitment to community service and gain
 skills that will contribute to their future success; and
 WHEREAS, Aurora has displayed leadership by designing and
 conducting a service project that will have a positive and
 lasting effect on her community; and
 WHEREAS, Her project was a workshop entitled "Take Charge"
 that provided information about personal safety, abuse
 awareness, and self-defense for girls ages 11 through 17; and
 WHEREAS, In receiving the Gold Award, Aurora has brought
 great honor to herself, her family, her council, her community,
 and her state, and she deserves recognition for her
 accomplishment; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
 Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Aurora Alexandra
 Villarreal on receiving this prestigious award and congratulate
 her on her outstanding achievement; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
 her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
