The bill would amend the Election Code to removes the requirement that county voting precincts must respect ward boundary lines of cities with populations of 10,000 or more. The bill would repeal Sections 42.005 (c) and (d) and 42.010 (a) of the Election Code. The Secretary of State indicated that any costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
