1010 relating to funding for certain commercial service airport
1111 projects.
1212 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1313 SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 21, Transportation Code,
1414 is amended by adding Section 21.115 to read as follows:
1515 Sec. 21.115. FUNDING FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL SERVICE
1616 AIRPORTS. To the extent consistent with federal funding
1717 restrictions, a project involving a commercial service airport is
1818 eligible for financial assistance under this subchapter, including
1919 for inclusion in the aviation facilities capital improvement
2020 program, if the airport is located in a county along the
2121 Texas-Mexico border that has a population of less than 300,000.
2222 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives
2323 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as
2424 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this
2525 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this
2626 Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
