99 AN ACT
1010 relating to fees of office for directors of groundwater
1111 conservation districts.
1212 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
1313 SECTION 1. Section 36.060(a), Water Code, is amended to
1414 read as follows:
1515 (a) A director is entitled to receive fees of office of not
1616 more than $250 [$150] a day for each day the director actually
1717 spends performing the duties of a director. The fees of office may
1818 not exceed $9,000 a year.
1919 SECTION 2. This Act applies only to a fee paid to a director
2020 of a groundwater conservation district for duties performed on or
2121 after the effective date of this Act. A fee paid for duties
2222 performed before that date is governed by the law in effect on the
2323 date the duties are performed, and that law is continued in effect
2424 for that purpose.
2525 SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
