A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to electronic submission of certain political convention
records.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 174.027, Election Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (g) to read as follows:
(g) An electronic submission to the county chair through a
system created by the political party and authorized by rule of the
party's state executive committee constitutes a complete delivery
under Subsection (c).
SECTION 2. Section 174.069, Election Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
(c) An electronic submission to the state chair through a
system created by the political party and authorized by rule of the
party's state executive committee constitutes a complete delivery
under Subsection (b).
SECTION 3. Section 181.067, Election Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows:
(d) An electronic submission to the county chair through a
system created by the political party and authorized by rule of the
party's state executive committee constitutes a complete delivery
under Subsection (b).
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
