10 | 10 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

11 | 11 | | SECTION 1. Section 754.0141(f), Health and Safety Code, is |
---|
12 | 12 | | amended to read as follows: |
---|
13 | 13 | | (f) An inspection by a QEI-1 certified inspector of |
---|
14 | 14 | | equipment in a single-family dwelling may be performed only at the |
---|
15 | 15 | | request and with the consent of the owner. The owner of a |
---|
16 | 16 | | single-family dwelling is not subject to Section 754.022 or[,] |
---|
17 | 17 | | 754.023[, or 754.024]. |

18 | 18 | | SECTION 2. The heading to Subchapter E, Chapter 91, Labor |
---|
19 | 19 | | Code, is amended to read as follows: |

44 | 44 | | SECTION 6. The repeal of an offense by this Act does not |
---|
45 | 45 | | apply to an offense committed before the effective date of the |
---|
46 | 46 | | repeal. An offense committed before the effective date of the |
---|
47 | 47 | | repeal is governed by the law as it existed on the date the offense |
---|
48 | 48 | | was committed, and the former law is continued in effect for that |
---|
49 | 49 | | purpose. For purposes of this section, an offense was committed |
---|
50 | 50 | | before the effective date of the repeal if any element of the |
---|
51 | 51 | | offense occurred before that date. |
---|
52 | 52 | | SECTION 7. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
---|
53 | 53 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
---|
54 | 54 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
---|
55 | 55 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
---|
56 | 56 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
