Kolkhorst, Chair, House Committee on Public Health FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board IN RE:HB2042 by Guillen (Relating to the chronic kidney disease task force.), As Introduced No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would amend Chapter 98 of the Health and Safety Code relating to the chronic kidney disease task force. The bill would require that a report be submitted January 1 of each even-numbered year to the appropriate standing committees of the legislature with jurisdiction over health issues. The bill repeals Sec. 98.009 of the Health and Safety Code which related to the expiration of the task force. Based on the analysis provided by the Department of State Health Services, it is assumed that the provisions of the bill can be implemented within existing resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
