The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Section 132 to specify unsworn declaration language for public employees and private process servers. The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) does not anticipate a fiscal impact as a result of the changes made by the bill. The Office of Court Administration (OCA), the Secretary of State (SOS) and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) anticipate any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
