Lewis, Chair, House Committee On Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2064 by Gooden (Relating to an unsworn declaration made by an employee of a state agency or political subdivision or a private process server in the performance of the employee's or server's job duties.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Section 132 to specify unsworn declaration language for public employees and private process servers. The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) does not anticipate a fiscal impact as a result of the changes made by the bill. The Office of Court Administration (OCA), the Secretary of State (SOS) and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) anticipate any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
