| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter J, Chapter 1201, Occupations Code, is | |
| 13 | 13 | amended by adding Section 1201.4521 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 1201.4521. POSTING OF CERTAIN INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR | |
| 15 | 15 | TRANSFER. (a) A person may not sell, exchange, or lease-purchase or | |
| 16 | 16 | negotiate for the sale, exchange, or lease-purchase of a used | |
| 17 | 17 | manufactured home unless the person posts on the door of the home | |
| 18 | 18 | for the duration of the period the home is offered for sale, | |
| 19 | 19 | exchange, or lease-purchase, as applicable: | |
| 20 | 20 | (1) a copy of the statement of ownership and location | |
| 21 | 21 | for the home; and | |
| 22 | 22 | (2) information held by the department of the | |
| 23 | 23 | existence of any tax liens on the home. | |
| 24 | 24 | (b) Information posted under this section must be printed on | |
| 25 | 25 | paper or other material at least eight and one-half inches wide and | |
| 26 | 26 | eleven inches long and be laminated or enclosed in a protective | |
| 27 | 27 | sleeve to prevent damage or illegibility due to weathering. | |
| 28 | 28 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
