The bill would prevent a municipality from adopting an ordinance that would prohibit a church from providing overnight shelter for a child. It would also give a church providing overnight shelter to a child immunity from civil liability for injury to the child or the child's property, unless the act causing the loss was intentional, wantonly negligent, or committed with conscious indifference. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
