                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 3, 2013      TO: Honorable Tan Parker, Chair, House Committee on Corrections      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2443 by Parker (Relating to the composition of the Texas Juvenile Justice Board. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Section 202 of the Human Resources Code to alter the composition and reduce the size of the Texas Juvenile Justice Board. The size of the board would be reduced from 13 members to 9 members. It is assumed that the general revenue savings resulting from implementing the provisions of the bill would not constitute a significant fiscal impact to the State. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2013. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
