A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the provision of an election deadline calendar to
authorities holding elections.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 31.004, Election Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (c) to read as follows:
(c) The secretary of state shall provide, electronically or
by mail, to each authority ordering an election a calendar that
includes all of the election-related deadlines applicable to that
authority.
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
