                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 1, 2013      TO: Honorable Jim Pitts, Chair, House Committee on Appropriations      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB2689 by Howard (Relating to a study regarding state formula funding for health-related institutions and general academic teaching institutions.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would require the Legislative Budget Board to study, evaluate, and make recommendations concerning the formulas for general academic institutions and health related institutions.  The report is due December 1, 2014. This estimate assumes the Legislative Budget Board would utilize existing resources and complete the analysis in-house.
