The bill would amend the Local Government Code to reduce the time served on active duty from 12 continuous months to three continuous months in which a military leave time account would benefit a fire or police officer; and would not require the leave balance to be exhausted. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
