| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Section 305.0021(b), Government Code, is amended | |
| 13 | 13 | to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | (b) For purposes of Section 36.02 or 36.10, Penal Code, a | |
| 15 | 15 | person described by Subsection (a)(2)(A) is not considered to have | |
| 16 | 16 | made an expenditure [the amount of a joint expenditure that is | |
| 17 | 17 | attributed to a person who is not a registrant is not an expenditure | |
| 18 | 18 | made and reported] in accordance with this chapter. | |
| 19 | 19 | SECTION 2. The amendment made by this Act to Section | |
| 20 | 20 | 305.0021(b), Government Code, is intended to clarify rather than | |
| 21 | 21 | change existing law. | |
| 22 | 22 | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. | |
