                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 9, 2013      TO: Honorable John Carona, Chair, Senate Committee on Business & Commerce      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3355 by Cook (Relating to cable operators' attachments on distribution poles owned or controlled by electric cooperatives.), As Engrossed    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would add Chapter 252 to the Utilities Code to establish requirements for cable operators' attachments on distribution poles owned or controlled by electric cooperatives, including procedures for construction; pole attachment contracts; transfer and removal of attachments; and easements. The Public Utility Commission indicated no significant fiscal impact is anticipated and any work resulting from the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.
