| 13 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 14 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Section 11, Chapter 197, Acts of the 58th |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Legislature, Regular Session, 1963, is amended to read as follows: |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Sec. 11. Each commissioner shall receive for performing |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | duties as a commissioner compensation set by the Board of Port |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Commissioners [the sum of $200 per month, except the president who |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | shall receive $250 per month,] plus actual traveling expenses. The |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Board of Port Commissioners [board of commissioners] shall set |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | [fix] the compensation of the secretary, general manager, |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | attorneys, engineers, and all other employees, and said board shall |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | set [fix] and determine the term and time of employment of all |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | officers and employees of the district; provided that all officers |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | and employees of the district, except the commissioners themselves, |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | shall hold their offices subject to the will of the Board of Port |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | Commissioners. |
