| 10 | 10 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 11 | 11 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 403, Government Code, is | |
| 12 | 12 | amended by adding Section 403.01155 to read as follows: | |
| 13 | 13 | Sec. 403.01155. PUBLICATION OF CERTAIN REPORTS PROHIBITED. | |
| 14 | 14 | (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the | |
| 15 | 15 | comptroller may not publish a report that reveals the gross or | |
| 16 | 16 | taxable receipts of a hotel that remits to the state taxes imposed | |
| 17 | 17 | under Chapter 156, Tax Code. | |
| 18 | 18 | (b) The information described by Subsection (a) is public | |
| 19 | 19 | information, and this section does not affect the availability of | |
| 20 | 20 | that information under Chapter 552. | |
| 21 | 21 | (c) The comptroller shall establish procedures to enable | |
| 22 | 22 | the electronic exchange of information described by Subsection (a) | |
| 23 | 23 | with another state agency on request. | |
| 24 | 24 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
