                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 15, 2013      TO: Honorable Richard Peña Raymond, Chair, House Committee on Human Services      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB3686 by Naishtat (Relating to the duties of the Council on Children and Families.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend Chapter 531, Government Code, to add new duties to the Council on Children and Families, including authorizing dedicated staff to coordinate interagency grant or resource development efforts to improve outcomes for children and families.  HHSC anticipates implementing the provisions of the bill would require additional full-time equivalents. The agency estimates there would be a minimal cost associated with implementing the provisions of the bill.
