                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 83RD LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 8, 2013      TO: Honorable Joseph Pickett, Chair, House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety      FROM: Ursula Parks, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB375 by Guillen (Relating to peace officers commissioned by the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure and Occupations Code relating to peace officers commissioned by the State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners (TSBVME). The bill would allow the TSBVME to commission peace officers. Based on information provided by the TSBVME and Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education, it is assumed that any costs associated with the implementation of this bill would be absorbed within existing staff and resources. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
