| 13 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

| 14 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Sections 392.0331(f) and (f-1), Local Government |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Code, are repealed. |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | SECTION 2. The repeal by this Act of Sections 392.0331(f) |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | and (f-1), Local Government Code, applies to a commissioner |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | appointed under Section 392.0331, Local Government Code, without |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | regard to whether the commissioner was appointed before, on, or |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | after the effective date of this Act. |

| 21 | 21 | | SECTION 3. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
