| 11 | 11 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | |
| 12 | 12 | SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 225, Transportation Code, | |
| 13 | 13 | is amended by adding Section 225.091 to read as follows: | |
| 14 | 14 | Sec. 225.091. CAROLYN S. JONES HIGHWAY. | |
| 15 | 15 | (a) Notwithstanding Section 225.001(c), the portion of State | |
| 16 | 16 | Highway 37 in Wood County between its intersection with | |
| 17 | 17 | Farm-to-Market Road 515 and its intersection with State Highway 11 | |
| 18 | 18 | is designated as the Carolyn S. Jones Highway. The designation is | |
| 19 | 19 | in addition to any other designation. | |
| 20 | 20 | (b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | |
| 21 | 21 | (1) design and construct markers indicating the | |
| 22 | 22 | designation as the Carolyn S. Jones Highway and any other | |
| 23 | 23 | appropriate information; and | |
| 24 | 24 | (2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at | |
| 25 | 25 | appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. | |
| 26 | 26 | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
