13 | 13 | | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |

14 | 14 | | SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 302, Labor Code, is |
---|
15 | 15 | | amended by adding Section 302.014 to read as follows: |

16 | 16 | | Sec. 302.014. EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL |

17 | 17 | | STUDENTS. (a) The commission shall provide the Texas Education |
---|
18 | 18 | | Agency with information at least each quarter regarding current and |
---|
19 | 19 | | projected employment opportunities in this state, disaggregated by |
---|
20 | 20 | | county or other appropriate region. |
---|
21 | 21 | | (b) The Texas Education Agency shall provide the |
---|
22 | 22 | | information obtained under Subsection (a) to school districts for |
---|
23 | 23 | | use in local planning and implementation of career and technical |
---|
24 | 24 | | education and training programs. |
---|
25 | 25 | | SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
