A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to state formula funding for pharmacy schools and colleges
and graduate-level pharmacy programs.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTION 1. Section 61.059, Education Code, is amended by
adding Subsection (p) to read as follows:
(p) In its formulas established under this section for
pharmacy schools and colleges and graduate-level pharmacy
programs, the board shall make its recommendations without regard
to whether a school, college, or program is operated or offered by a
health science center or other medical and dental unit.
SECTION 2. The change in law made by this Act applies only
to a formula established under Section 61.059, Education Code, as
amended by this Act, on or after the effective date of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
