2424 constitution until a successor is qualified.
2525 (c) The term of a person appointed to serve for the
2626 remainder of a term to fill a vacancy in a statewide office is not
2727 counted in determining whether a person is eligible to serve under
2828 Subsection (a) of this section.

3434 terms for which a person may be elected or appointed to hold certain
3535 state offices.
3636 (b) A term of office that begins before January 1, 2014, is
3737 not counted in determining whether a person is eligible to serve
3838 under Section 2a, Article IV, of this constitution.
3939 (c) This temporary provision expires February 1, 2031.
