H.R. No. 117 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Josephine Rebecca Casina Marie Davidson of Terrell has made outstanding contributions to her community, and her kind and caring ways have brightened the lives of all who know her; and WHEREAS, The daughter of George and Jennie Edwards, the former Josephine Edwards was born in Lincolnton, North Carolina, on July 26, 1931; she began her education in Poplar Springs, North Carolina, in a one-room schoolhouse heated in the winter by a potbellied stove; later, she attended Oaklawn High School and then graduated from Patterson Co-op High School in Dayton, Ohio; she went on to nursing school and became a licensed practical nurse; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Davidson is the devoted mother of six children, Jerry, Robert, George, Ima, Catherine, and Reba, and she plays a loving role in the lives of many others in her circle, offering comfort, wisdom, and spiritual guidance; she has served as a speaker at many ladies' day programs through the years and sets a remarkable example for her fellow citizens through her many good deeds; and WHEREAS, With her sunny personality and wonderful sense of humor, Josephine Davidson has brought joy to innumerable people, and her generosity, compassion, and dedication are a source of inspiration to all who are privileged to know her; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature hereby recognize Josephine Rebecca Davidson for her service to her community and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mrs. Davidson as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
