 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The Richardson High School Lady Eagles volleyball
 players have been recognized by the Side-Out Foundation for their
 outstanding efforts in the fight against breast cancer; and
 WHEREAS, Established in 2004, the Side-Out Foundation is a
 nonprofit support and advocacy organization that enlists
 volleyball players and coaches in the campaign to raise funds for
 breast cancer research, education, and patient services; and
 WHEREAS, Led by varsity assistant coach Krissy Seaman, the
 Lady Eagles collected more than $1,000 in donations, and their
 achievement was acknowledged with a plaque from the Side-Out
 Foundation; this is the second time that the Richardson volleyball
 players have been so honored, and they have raised a total of $3,550
 to date; to further commemorate the team's hard work, Richardson
 will become the first high school in the United States to be awarded
 the foundation's "Dig Pink" banner for its gymnasium; and
 WHEREAS, The exceptional commitment demonstrated by the Lady
 Eagles in behalf of the Side-Out Foundation has provided valuable
 support to a worthwhile cause, and they may reflect with pride on a
 job well done; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate the Richardson High School
 volleyball team on its success in raising funds to fight breast
 cancer and on its recognition by the Side-Out Foundation and extend
 to the team members and Coach Seaman sincere best wishes for the
 future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
