H.R. No. 1253
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Tommy and Sharron Massey of Lubbock celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on March 10, 2013, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Tommy Massey and the former Sharron Carnes exchanged
the vows of matrimony at a ceremony held in Odessa in 1963, and over
the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving
life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Massey count among their blessings a
fine family that includes two sons, James Justin Massey and Timothy
Darrell Massey, Sr., three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild,
with whom they treasure sharing many special occasions; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Tommy and Sharron Massey have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Tommy and Sharron Massey on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Massey as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
