H.R. No. 147
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Lee and Bonnie Sanders
of Midland celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on
December 14, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Sanders were joined in matrimony in
Lubbock in 1962; through the years, they have been blessed with a
treasured family that includes their children, Scott and Libby, as
well as their grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, After graduating from Texas Tech University, the
couple moved to Houston, where Mr. Sanders continued his education
at the University of Houston and Mrs. Sanders was employed with
Vinson and Elkins; and
WHEREAS, Respected residents of Midland for three decades,
Mr. Sanders retired from Halliburton after a notable 34-year career
and now works for Log Analysis Solutions, and Mrs. Sanders is
involved in church and civic activities; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Sanders have enjoyed half a century of
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Lee and Bonnie Sanders on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Sanders as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
