H.R. No. 1497
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
of Margaret Jean Rodriguez Oliveira of Corpus Christi, who passed
away on March 29, 2013, at the age of 60; and
WHEREAS, The former Margaret Rodriguez was born on January
26, 1953, to Raymond and Hazel Rodriguez; in 1971, she married the
love of her life, Horacio Oliveira, Jr., and the couple enjoyed more
than four decades together; they were blessed with three sons,
Mark, Dusty, and Chuck, and over the years, their family grew to
include twin grandchildren, Lukas and Danika; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Oliveira was a homemaker and dedicated her life
to caring for her loved ones; she welcomed her sons' friends into
her home, where the music was always on and the food was freely
shared, and many of them took to calling her "Mom"; with her
ever-present smile and lighthearted nature, she endeared herself to
people wherever she went; and
WHEREAS, While the life of Margaret Oliveira ended far too
soon, she will always be remembered with great tenderness and
affection by all those who were privileged to know her; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Margaret Jean
Rodriguez Oliveira and extend sincere sympathy to the members of
her family: to her husband, Horacio Oliveira, Jr.; to her sons,
Mark, Dusty, and Chuck Oliveira; to her grandchildren, Lukas and
Danika Oliveira; to her siblings, Belinda Encarnacion and her
husband, Nelson, Raymond Rodriguez and his wife, Rachel, and Rene
Rodriguez and his wife, Tomasita; to her parents-in-law, Horacio
and Delia Oliveira; to her sisters-in-law, Dolores and Denise
Oliveira and Noela Oliveira Garza; and to her many other relatives
and friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Margaret
Jean Rodriguez Oliveira.
