H.R. No. 1501
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The well-being of the citizens of this state depends
on businesses that not only employ Texans and contribute to local
economies but also act as good corporate citizens in their
communities, and Alice Chevrolet is indeed one such company; and
WHEREAS, In March 2013, owner Pete Ganis presented the local
Boys & Girls Club chapter with the keys to a new van; the
15-passenger vehicle will be used for special outings as well as to
transport members to and from their homes; and
WHEREAS, Boys & Girls Clubs work to inspire young people to
realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring
individuals, and Alice Chevrolet has made a valuable contribution
to this important initiative; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby honor Alice Chevrolet for its generous donation
to the local Boys & Girls Club and extend to Pete Ganis and his staff
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the business as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
