H.R. No. 1507 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories of Viola Daniel of Van, who passed away on March 13, 2013, at the age of 73; and WHEREAS, Born Nancy Viola Lawson on April 28, 1939, in Aubrey, she was the daughter of James and Minnie Lawson; Mrs. Daniel shared 55 years with her husband, Bryan, and the couple were blessed with three children, Nancy, Debbie, and Jerrell; Mrs. Daniel also took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, A resident of Van for more than four decades, Mrs. Daniel was a valued member of New Beginning Baptist Church; in her leisure time, she enjoyed listening to Vince Gill's music and watching ice-skating; she was admired for her lovely singing voice as well as for her charming smile and laughter; and WHEREAS, Viola Daniel touched the lives of many people with her kindness and generosity, and she will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those who shared in her life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Viola Daniel and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband, Bryan Daniel; to her children, Nancy Wilson and her husband, Billy, Debbie Carter, and Jerrell Daniel; to her grandchildren and their spouses, T. J. and Emily Wilson, Danli and Jeremy Mazingo, Jessica and Trey Hendrick, Lori and Will Woodall, Britnee and Jonathan Costner, Jaycee and Trey Huffman, Lane Daniel, and Barron Wedgeworth; to her great-grandchildren, Audrey, Anyka, Alyka, Amberlee, Harper, and Treyson; to her sisters, Louise Carroll and Hettie Hooten and her husband, Jack; to her sister-in-law, June Lawson; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Viola Daniel.
