H.R. No. 1586
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mark Timm is retiring from the Sachse City Council
in May 2013, concluding a noteworthy tenure that has spanned more
than a decade; and
WHEREAS, Elected to Place 6 on the council in 2001, Mr. Timm
was subsequently returned to office by his constituents for three
additional terms; he has played a prominent role in shaping the
city's growth as part of the Comprehensive Master Plan Steering
Committee and the Sachse Economic Development Corporation, which he
served as board president; moreover, he now represents the council
as its liaison to the Garland Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, A Sachse resident for more than 20 years, this
esteemed Texan contributed to his community as chair of the Parks
and Recreation Commission before assuming his current post; he
presently enjoys a career as a Realtor for Coldwell Banker Apex,
Realtors; and
WHEREAS, Mark Timm's skill, dedication, and commitment to
excellence have greatly benefited his fellow citizens, and he may
indeed reflect with pride on his distinguished record of public
service; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Mark Timm on his retirement from
the Sachse City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for
continued success in his future endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Timm as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
