 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
 mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Jim and Mary Alice
 Sanders of Midland celebrated this joyous milestone in their
 marriage on December 23, 2012; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Sanders first met as elementary school
 students in Delhi, Oklahoma; joined in matrimony in 1952, they have
 since been blessed with a treasured family that includes two
 children and their spouses, Greg and Deborah Sanders and Janis and
 Ken Dickeson, as well as two grandchildren, Dawn Dickeson McNair
 and her husband, Martin, and Derek Dickeson; and
 WHEREAS, Now retired, Mr. Sanders worked for Exxon and
 Mrs. Sanders taught at Midland High School; today, they enjoy
 playing golf, and they divide their time between Midland, where
 they worship at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, and their home
 in Oklahoma; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Sanders have enjoyed six decades of
 abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an
 exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
 commitment; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Jim and Mary Alice Sanders on their
 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
 continued happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Sanders as an expression of high regard
 by the Texas House of Representatives.
