H.R. No. 176
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Joe and Geraldine Tarbet of Lubbock celebrated their
60th wedding anniversary on December 18, 2012, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Joe Tarbet and the former "Jerry" Hogg exchanged the
vows of matrimony in a ceremony held in Lamesa in 1952, and over the
course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving
life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tarbet count among their blessings a
fine family that includes two children, Darla Blasingame and
Treva Brensing, as well as seven grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing many special
occasions; and
WHEREAS, For six decades, Joe and Jerry Tarbet have brought
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Joe and Geraldine Tarbet on their
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Tarbet as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
