H.R. No. 180
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dodie and James Walker of Lubbock celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on December 29, 2012, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, James Walker and the former Dodie Davis exchanged
the vows of matrimony in Castle Rock, Colorado, in 1962, and over
the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving
life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Walker are the parents of four
children, Kelly Moss, Janelle Tharp, Sheryl Walker, and the late
Eric Walker, and today their family includes their sons-in-law,
Randy and Brian, and their daughter-in-law, Christine, and eight
grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Dodie and James Walker have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Dodie and James Walker on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Walker as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
