H.R. No. 1959
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sloan Braband has ably served his fellow Texans as
an intern in the office of State Representative Jim Murphy during
the 83rd Legislative Session; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff in the fall of 2012,
Mr. Braband has contributed to the workings of state government
firsthand; in addition to learning more about the legislative
process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he
has gained valuable experience in the field of public service; a
freshman at The University of Texas at Austin and himself a
constituent of Representative Murphy's, he has used his unique
perspective to great advantage in his many successful dealings with
others residing in House District 133; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed his
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby commend Sloan Braband for his service as a
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Jim Murphy
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all
his endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Braband as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
