No. 212 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, A delegation from Harmony Science Academy of Grand Prairie is visiting the State Capitol on January 28, 2013; and WHEREAS, Founded in 2000, Harmony Science Academy is part of the Harmony School System, which serves more than 25,000 students at 38 campuses throughout Texas; each institution is dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential in all subjects, with special emphasis on mathematics, science, engineering, and computer technology; and WHEREAS, Harmony Science Academy of Grand Prairie has been rated "Recognized" by the Texas Education Agency, and its students have excelled in competitions and have earned top honors across the state; recently, Eman Alasadi placed third at the 2012 state science fair, and Maia Ogembo, Pearish Nailor, and Le Hoang together won second place at a 2013 Science Olympiad Invitational Tournament; and WHEREAS, Committed to its innovative, high-quality system of education, Harmony Science Academy is building a solid foundation for the future achievement of many young Texans; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature hereby welcome the delegates from Harmony Science Academy of Grand Prairie to the State Capitol and extend to them sincere best wishes for a memorable and educational stay in Austin; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
