H.R. No. 2133
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
passing of Kenneth John Nielsen of Coldspring on April 11, 2013, at
the age of 90; and
WHEREAS, The son of Nick Cornelius Nielsen, Kenneth Nielsen
was born on November 4, 1922, in Iowa; and
WHEREAS, A devoted father, Mr. Nielsen was blessed with four
children, Kenneth, Keith, Alan, and Mary, and he also took great
pride in his stepson, Ricky; and
WHEREAS, Although Kenneth Nielsen will be deeply missed,
cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in
the hearts of his family and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Kenneth John
Nielsen and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to
his children, Kenneth Nielsen II, Keith Nielsen and his wife,
Cindy, Alan Nielsen and his wife, Belinda, and Mary Shaw and her
husband, Sammy; to his stepson, Ricky Carter; and to his many other
relatives and friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Kenneth
John Nielsen.
