 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Jaime C. Thompson graduated from the Thurgood
 Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University on May 11, 2013,
 and is now embarking on an exciting new chapter in her life; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Barbara H. Thompson and James
 C. Thompson, Sr., Ms. Thompson has excelled at her studies, making
 the dean's list and receiving her juris doctor degree cum laude; and
 WHEREAS, During her time at Thurgood Marshall, Ms. Thompson
 has been a writing advisor, an articles editor for the Law Review,
 and a member of the Caribbean Law Student Association; she has also
 been an active member of the Public Interest Law Association, which
 helps students and graduates prepare for and pursue a career in
 public service; this accomplished young woman is planning to
 practice immigration law; and
 WHEREAS, Blessed with the talent, intelligence, and
 determination to succeed in a demanding profession, Jaime Thompson
 may indeed look forward to building on her studies to forge a
 rewarding career in the law; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Jaime C. Thompson on her
 graduation from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law and extend to
 her sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Thompson as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
