 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Cynthia S. Goble graduated from the Thurgood
 Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University on May 11, 2013,
 and is now embarking on an exciting new chapter in her life; and
 WHEREAS, The daughter of Martha Jane Goble and the late Vance
 Albert Goble, Jr., Ms. Goble graduated summa cum laude from the
 University of Houston Honors College with a bachelor's degree in
 psychology; and
 WHEREAS, In 2010, Ms. Goble entered the Thurgood Marshall
 School of Law, where she has worked as a writing advisor in the
 Lawyering Process curriculum, as a research assistant for Professor
 Rebecca Stewart, and as a staff member of the TMSL Gender, Race and
 Justice Law Journal; in addition, she has clerked for U.S. District
 Judge Diana Saldana of the Fifth Circuit in Laredo; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Goble has also been an active member of the
 Public Interest Law Association, which helps students and graduates
 prepare for and pursue a career in public service; she plans to
 specialize in immigration, civil rights, tax, and bankruptcy law,
 and she is committed to assisting the most vulnerable members of
 society through pro bono work; and
 WHEREAS, Blessed with the talent, intelligence, and
 determination to succeed in a demanding profession, Cynthia Goble
 may indeed look forward to building on her studies to forge a
 rewarding career in the law; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Cynthia S. Goble on her graduation
 from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law and extend to her sincere
 best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Goble as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
