H.R. No. 2683
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Jennifer Effenberger Donald of Sweeny has earned the
2013 Best Company Employee of the Beijing Economic and
Technological Development Area from the BDA Government for her
exceptional work with the Semiconductor Manufacturing
International Corporation Private School in Beijing; and
WHEREAS, The first educator and first nonnative recipient of
the Ai Qi Ye Hao Yuan Gong Award, which translates as "Love Company
Good Employee," Ms. Donald has distinguished herself throughout her
three years of service as an English teacher and coach at SMIC
Private School; during her notable tenure, she has implemented a
number of worthwhile programs, including guided reading, the
Sandstorm Awards, the Easter Egg-stravaganza, entrance testing,
and an annual 100th Day of School celebration; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Donald has also worked with her husband,
Preston, to benefit young people in need; in addition to sponsoring
residents of a local orphanage, the couple make time to play with
the children and donate clothing and essential items to the
facility; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Sweeny High School, Ms. Donald earned
her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University--Kingsville and is
currently pursuing her master's degree in special education online
through Texas Tech University; in all of her endeavors, she has been
blessed with a loving family that includes her parents, Tim and Kim
Effenberger, and her grandparents, Betty Setzer and Leo and Anne
Effenberger; and
WHEREAS, Jennifer Donald has fostered a supportive and
challenging educational environment for her students while
contributing greatly to the community, and her efforts have
enhanced many young lives; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jennifer Effenberger Donald on
earning the 2013 Best Company Employee of the Beijing Economic and
Technological Development Area from the BDA Government and extend
to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Donald as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
