 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Panhandle High School juniors Keylee Mayfield and
 Shelby Schilling won best overall-group for their entry in the 2013
 It's Your History Contest, sponsored by the Friends of the
 Governor's Mansion, and they are visiting the State Capitol on
 April 1, 2013; and
 WHEREAS, Open to high school students throughout the state,
 the contest encourages participants to learn more about Texas
 heritage by researching a topic of local history and creating a
 dynamic presentation on their findings; and
 WHEREAS, Ms. Mayfield and Ms. Schilling chose to investigate
 the story behind the Buffalo Grass Steakhouse building in Panhandle
 for their project; they discovered that the structure, built in
 1912, originally served as a hardware store and subsequently housed
 a bank, a drugstore, and a bus depot; as recipients of the best
 overall-group award, the pair have been invited to meet Governor
 Perry and to tour the Capitol and the Governor's Mansion; and
 WHEREAS, Keylee Mayfield and Shelby Schilling have
 distinguished themselves through their hard work, initiative, and
 creativity, and they are a source of pride to their school and their
 community; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Keylee Mayfield and Shelby
 Schilling on earning the best overall-group prize for their entry
 in the Friends of the Governor's Mansion It's Your History Contest
 and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Mayfield and Ms. Schilling as an expression of
 high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
