H.R. No. 285
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Deer Park Chamber of Commerce will celebrate its
54th Annual Banquet on Thursday, January 31, 2013; and
WHEREAS, President and CEO Mr. Tim Culp and Chairman Dr. Ray
Landers, along with the Chamber Board of Directors and staff, work
closely with their members and citizens to make Deer Park a
desirable place to live and work; the Chamber's mission is to
provide community leadership and opportunity for all; and
WHEREAS, The Chamber has been recognized for its outstanding
communication with the community, its monthly newsletter named the
best in the State of Texas by the Texas Chamber of Commerce
Executives in June 2012; its outreach programs offer successful
training seminars aimed at building a strong foundation for its
economy; the Chamber also offers mentoring programs in order to
nurture and develop future leaders; making education a top
priority, the Chamber assists incoming undergraduate students by
offering two annual scholarships; and
WHEREAS, The City of Deer Park, Deer Park Independent School
District, and other area organizations share the common purpose of
creating a successful, vibrant community by building trust,
creating values, providing leadership, and encouraging the
development of local businesses;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, The Deer Park Chamber of Commerce
Board and staff will continue to enhance the economic vitality and
quality of life in the community of Deer Park. I, Representative
Mary Ann Perez, request that a copy of this resolution be prepared
for the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce as an expression of the
highest regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
